Josh Fein (Dir of Coaches)

Josh Fein is the director of coaches for Wave Baseball and the head coach of the Wave Baseball 12U team.  Coach Fein played varsity baseball at West Florida High School for 3 years, where he was a 3rd team All State 3rd baseman before becoming mainly a pitcher for his final two seasons.  After high school, Coach Fein played for Faulkner State Community College where he pitched in the Junior College World Series, earning a win for his team that finished 6th in the Nation that year.  Coach Fein has been coaching since 2012, which includes over four years at Gulf Breeze and West Florida high schools.  He currently coaches the Wave Baseball 12U baseball team and owns "Fein Training", a private baseball and softball athletic development program.

Andy Cottingham

Coach Cottingham brings a lifelong passion for baseball to Wave Baseball, with years of playing and coaching experience. His journey began at the age of five in Birmingham, Alabama, where he played school ball and developed a deep love for the game. After a brief break in his late teens, he returned to the field in his early 20s, determined to continue playing and share his knowledge with others.

Over the years, Coach Andy has coached both recreational and travel teams across multiple organizations, helping every group of players he’s led achieve success — from tournament finals appearances to championship victories.

Inspired by the coaches who shaped him, Coach Andy is committed to not only teaching baseball fundamentals but also instilling discipline, teamwork, and resilience in his players. His faith plays a central role in his coaching philosophy, as he encourages his players both on and off the field through prayer, integrity, and perseverance.

Coach Andy’s goal is to inspire the next generation of athletes, leaving a lasting impact on their lives through the game he loves.

Josh Glass

Coach Glass is the head coach of the Wave Baseball 8U team.  He has coached at multiple levels in the last two years to include recreation,  All Stars, and travel baseball teams.  While growing up, Coach Glass played on 3 different travel baseball programs and In high school, he was a used as a utility infielder, playing mostly pitcher and catcher. Coach Glass was brought up to play on his high school varsity baseball team while only in the 8 th grade and received scholarship offers to play for several private high schools to include Tallavanah Christian.  Upon graduation from high school, Coach Glass was offered scholarships by several universities to include Gulf Coast Community College, Flagler University and Florida A&M.  In his senior year as pitcher for Florida A&M, he went 10-2, recording 104 strikeouts and maintained a 2.08 ERA. Coach Glass career was cut short due to a shoulder injury, but went on to graduate Florida A&M in 2005 and currently serves in the United States Navy.

AJ McMillion

Coach McMillion brings a wealth of experience to Wave Baseball, with a playing career that spans from youth leagues to the professional level. His journey began at Bill Bond Baseball in Pensacola, where he developed a passion for the game that shaped his future. He went on to play for four years at West Florida High School of Advanced Technology before continuing his career at Wallace Community College Selma, refining his skills and preparing for the next level.

His dedication and hard work paid off when he earned the opportunity to play professionally for the Great Bend Boom for two seasons. His time in the pros instilled in him invaluable lessons about resilience, teamwork, and the mindset needed to compete at the highest levels.

Off the field, Coach McMillion is a devoted husband to Erin and a proud father to his two sons, Aaron and Noah. He balances his love for baseball with his commitment to family, striving to inspire young athletes with the same passion and dedication that fueled his own career.


Bobby Murphy

Coach Bobby With over 16 years of playing experience, he has competed with multiple teams, including Wave Baseball from 2012 to 2014 and Gulf Breeze High School’s varsity team.

In the spring of 2022, he returned to Wave Baseball as a coach, where he quickly earned the respect of both players and fellow coaches. Coach Murphy is dedicated to helping young athletes develop their skills and passion for the game.


Sean Preble

Coach Preble brings nearly two decades of coaching experience to the Wave Baseball program.

His baseball journey began at age four, and as the son of an Air Force member, he played for various recreational, All-Star, and travel teams while moving frequently. After settling in Pensacola, he joined the Marlins travel baseball team, helping lead them to the World Series, where they fell just short of victory.

In high school, Coach Preble was a standout pitcher at Catholic High School. After graduation, he earned a full-ride scholarship to Bishop State College as a closing pitcher.

For the past 18 years, he has coached at multiple levels, serving as both an assistant and head coach for GBSA, Riptide Travel Baseball, and Wave Baseball. Coach Preble is dedicated to developing young athletes and fostering a love for the game.

Nathan VanMeter

Coach VanMeter brings over nine years of coaching experience to Wave Baseball. He has coached multiple teams, including GBSA, Gulf Coast Kraken, and Wave Baseball. As a head coach, his teams have achieved impressive milestones, winning the GSSA Florida State Championship and finishing as runners-up in the GSSA World Series for two consecutive years.

A former standout player at CD Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA, Coach VanMeter played as a pitcher, catcher, and first baseman. In his senior year, he was named First Team Cardinal District Player of the Year and led his team to a district championship. He received multiple D3 scholarship offers but chose to serve in the U.S. Air Force instead.

Coach VanMeter is passionate about developing young athletes and helping them grow both on and off the field.


Jeremy Venable

Coach Venable brings over a decade of coaching experience to Wave Baseball, specializing in player development at the 9U and 10U levels. Since 2010, he has coached more than 20 recreational teams and has been actively involved in travel baseball since 2020. He has served as both a head coach and assistant coach for Wave Baseball, leading multiple teams and helping young athletes transition to competitive play.

A proven leader on and off the field, Coach Venable has guided teams to over 10 AA-level travel tournament victories. He is known for fostering a structured, competitive, and positive environment that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game.

His coaching philosophy focuses on building confidence, teaching fundamentals, and incorporating advanced strategies tailored to young athletes.
